Terms of use
What you get, what we promise, and what we do not.
Unreviewed draft. This document has been written in plain language by the TestGuru team and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It is published so that you can see our intentions before you pay us, not because it is a finished legal instrument. It will be replaced by a reviewed version, and we will date the change. If anything here is unclear or looks wrong, email support@testguru.co and ask — we would rather explain it than have you guess.
1. Who we are
TestGuru is an independent mock-test and diagnosis service for competitive examinations in India, operated from India and reachable at support@testguru.co. This site is testguru.co and the product is at app.testguru.co.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Testing Agency (NTA). “JEE Main” is used only to describe the examination our papers are modelled on. We have no access to the actual examination paper and no advance information about it.
2. Who may use it
You may use TestGuru if you can lawfully enter into a contract in India, or if you are under 18 and a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms and made any payment on your behalf. Most of our users are school students; we expect a parent or guardian to be the one paying.
One account is for one person. Do not share your login.
3. What the service is
A set of adaptive practice papers modelled on the published examination pattern, delivered in a browser, together with a report on your answers — including, for wrong answers, our assessment of the cause of the error.
What we do not promise
- Any rank, score, percentile or admission outcome.
- That our papers will resemble the actual examination in content, difficulty or question selection beyond following the published pattern.
- That the syllabus, pattern or marking information on this site is current. We check it and date it; the NTA’s own publications are the only authority.
- Uninterrupted or error-free service.
If you find a wrong answer key or a wrong diagnosis, tell us. We correct it and re-score anyone affected.
4. Payment
The JEE Main pass is a single payment of ₹1,499, including GST, for 12 months of access from the date of payment. It is not a subscription; nothing renews and no card is stored for a future charge. A GST invoice is issued for every payment.
Payments are handled by a third-party payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card details.
Refunds are governed by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. What you may not do
- Copy, republish, sell or redistribute our questions, explanations or reports.
- Scrape the service, or use automated means to extract questions.
- Share an account, or resell access to one.
- Attempt to interfere with the service, its timing enforcement or other users' accounts.
We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is doing any of these. If we suspend yours and you think we are wrong, email us and a person will look at it.
6. Our content
The questions, distractors, diagnostic labels, explanations and the wording of this site are ours. You may use them for your own study. You may not republish them.
If you send us a suggestion or a bug report, we may act on it without owing you anything for it. We will not publish your name without asking.
7. Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your statutory rights as a consumer in India are unaffected by anything in this document.
8. Ending it
You may stop using the service at any time; if you are within the refund window, the refund policy applies. We may end your access for a serious or repeated breach of section 5, and will refund the unused portion unless the breach was a deliberate attempt to copy or resell our content.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects what you have already paid for, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
