Adaptive mock tests

Mock tests that adapt to you

Everyone else hands the same paper to a hundred thousand students. TestGuru reads what you get wrong, works out why, and builds the next test and the next practice set around it.

  • Works on any phone

A score tells you how much you lost. It never tells you why.

TestGuru is built to answer the second question, because that is the one that changes what you do tomorrow.

The test adapts as you take it

Questions respond to what you have already shown you can and cannot do. Time goes where the uncertainty is, instead of being spread evenly over material you settled months ago.

Every wrong answer is diagnosed

The report names the specific idea that produced the error, and how often that same idea has cost you marks before. One slip is a slip. The same one three times is something you believe.

Errors are traced to their source

A mistake in one chapter is often a gap in an earlier one wearing a disguise. When the evidence points backwards, TestGuru says so and sends you to the thing that needs fixing.

Your practice is built for you

After each test you get a set assembled from your own errors. As a weakness stops appearing it drops out of the rotation and something else takes its place.

Timing enforced on our server

Closing the tab or losing signal does not hand you extra minutes, and negative marking is applied exactly as the exam applies it. A score you cannot trust is worse than no score.

Built for the phone you own

No heavy app, no video downloads. It works on a mid-range Android handset on a slow connection, because that is what most students are actually sitting with.

How it works

Four steps, and then it loops

Each pass through makes the next test sharper, because it knows more about you than the last one did.

  1. 1

    Take an adaptive test

Real structure, real timing, real negative marking — with the questions chosen against what you have already demonstrated.

  2. 2

Read the cause, not the score

The report names the specific idea behind each error and how many times it has cost you marks before.

  3. 3

    Practise the gap

A short set assembled from your own mistakes, mixed with unrelated questions so you cannot pattern-match through it.

  4. 4

    Get re-tested later

The same material returns weeks later, unannounced, to find out whether the fix actually held.

Straight answers

Including the ones that do not flatter us.

What does 'adaptive' actually mean here?
The test chooses questions against what you have already shown, rather than serving a fixed list to everybody. If you have demonstrated a topic three times over, it stops spending your time there. Structure, length, timing and marking still match the real exam — what changes is which questions fill it.
Is it still a realistic mock if it adapts?
Yes. The paper keeps the exam’s structure, length and marking, and the clock runs on our server so a lost connection neither costs you time nor gives you extra. Adapting the selection is what makes the hours informative rather than mostly confirming what you already knew.
Which exams can I take today?
JEE Main is live. JEE Advanced, NEET UG, NEET PG, INI-CET, UGC NET, CSIR NET and GATE are on waitlists, and we build them in the order people ask for them. We would rather have one exam done properly than eight done thinly.
Do you have results or testimonials?
No, and we are not going to invent any. We launched recently, no cohort has sat an exam since, and we have no outcome data. When we have some we will publish it with the sample size and the method attached, including the parts that do not flatter us. Until then the only honest argument we have is a free test you can judge for yourself.
What does it cost?
The first test is free and needs no card. Full access is ₹1,499 paid once, GST included, for 12 months — no subscription, nothing that renews, and seven days to change your mind in full.
Are you connected to the NTA or any exam board?
No. TestGuru is independent and has no affiliation with, endorsement from or connection to the NTA, NBEMS, AIIMS, the IITs, CSIR or any other examination authority. We model our papers on published patterns and have no advance information about any actual paper.
